Douglas Labs formulated Ultrazyme with Pancreatin UPS‚ a combination of three pancreatic digestive enzymes. The first of which is Lipase‚ the enzyme that catalyzes the break down of fats. The second enzyme is protease. The chemical has the unique job of breaking apart the peptide bonds that hold amino acids together‚ forming proteins. Amylase‚ the third‚ is present in the saliva of our mouths. This enzyme is considered the first step in the digestion process because its presence through saliva not only helps the chewing process (which is essential to digestion)‚ but the enzyme also catalyzes the transformation of starches to sugars.
